The app is developed by Shravan Hegde of Uttar Kannada. Shravan, 21, is a student from Karnataka. So far, the app has received 10,000 downloads. The app received 5,000 downloads in the first hour of its launch.
An alternative to the Chinese app HELO, the indigenous app ShareChat
ShareChat can be used to view content including jokes, entertainment, images and videos. The user can create a profile and share their videos with friends. Currently the app is only available for Android users. It was prepared in the year 2015 by Ankush Sachdev, a student of IIT Kanpur.
